HINDI MOVIE REVIEW

I saw the hindi movie ROCK ON . This movie was directed by abhishek kapoor.

Farhan Akthar (FA) , a famous director plays a hero role for the first time. Songs

were so appealing . The lyrics written by Javed akhtar were awesome.This film also

has Arjun rampal (AR)whose performance was admired in DON AND OM SHANTI OM . Ok,

let us come into the story line.

The film can be considered as a musical flim. Four members , that is , FA , AR

and other two(purab kohli,Luke Kenny) form a band called “ magik” , because they

believe there is magic in their respectiveperformances which leave the audience

enthralled. FA is a singer , AR plays guitarist and the other two

play a drumster and keyboard. From the beginning to end, the spirit of the movie

is the same. They win a music contest and they get a chance to do a music album.

The music album contract could be signed if they agree to include a masla song , for

which they should neglect a song of their own.However, being the first album,

they sacrifice that. Three lady roles can be mentioned which are worth .First and

foremost is the lover (ater on FA leaves her) of FA . The second and third are FA’s

wife and AR’S Wife. In the middle , the album manager ( a man who manages when the

album is shot- I called him so) denies a request from the group that AR’S wife

could be the costume designer as she does it all the day . Then , comes the trouble

because the group has to compromise even the showcasing. AR complains to FA that

only FA is focused in the video and all the other are not concentrated. So, this

issue leads to a small fight in which AR hits the album manager and FA. This leads

to a break in “ MAGIK” . Everyone quits and the contract is withdrawn.


After that , everyone changes routes. FA becomes the manager of a

business firm, AR AND his wife earn by doing fish business. The other two , they did

not mention. However , it is a great Previllage in this movie that even female stars

perform better . FA’S wife dons the role with ease. She

has cute looks and acts naturally. When she comes to know about this band through

meeting the drumster and through his photos, the problem starts again. She wants to

know why FA is not open to her in that matter.Due to misunderstanding , she leaves

to her mother’s home(as every women does).


Then, they reunite in the place and forget the past . Because, this time FA is both

rich and influential.The movie does not end here. Here comes another hurdle. AR’S

wife (costume designer),says why all of a sudden FA has accepted to reunite ? This

can be justified.She says AR to go for a guitarist job separately which will fetch

him more money as he has talent . So, the contest begins for selection. Everyone

has come except , AR. So, FA decides to quit. But , the other two (drumster and

keyboard).Says it is because of the tussle between the two(FA AND AR), the event

becomes spoiled.You could also note one thing that the keyboard player suffers from

brain tumour and has a little life to live. So, they say, anyhow we will perfom.



The climax is taken with care and keeps the audience seated. While performing , AR

will be travelling With his wife to get a job which will fetch him decent money and

they will be hearing this music. AR ‘S wife wil ask him to stay , but he will be

stubborn , and he will join in the middle with the BAND magik.

And so the song will be a hit and they will get selected.

At, last the keyboard player will die due to tumour. AR’s wife will be a costume

designer. The drumster will start a music company in association with FA to promote

new talents.So.they will achieve their dream.


The ending in which they display this message ,” DON’T DOWNLOAD THE MUSIC, BUY THE

CD” is a good message and comedy. This movie is well organized and a treat to

watch.

WELCOME TO NEW YEAR 2009

Happy new year 2009 to one and all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are stepping into a new year . Let the new begining shall bring prosperity into
our lives. We may have faced both happy moments and troublesomes , But let us all
forget the bad ones and keep us the positive ones in our mind. Our country has faced
a lot of terrorist attacks and we have lost a number of lives in 2008.These
terrorists will be punished certainly in one or the other way. We have also done some fabulous achievements like CHANDRAYAAN mission. Coming to chennai , We have faced the worst floods and our homes were like islands. All these calamities will give us the training to be prepared for the crisis times.

In 2009 , the major problem we are going to face is economic crisis
and it's aftermath . This crisis has created a fewer jobs leading to unemployment.
We should be prepared for the job requirements. That is because ," ONLY THE TOUGH
SURVIVE". Colleges have conducted less or no campus recruitments. This is an
indication that job hunting will not be a cake walk. All these troubles can be
overcome by hard work and grace of GOD.

CRICKET INDIA

Hi . A series of victories for the INDIAN cricket team has made the country proud.
Dhoni has captained the team absolutely well and is named as the future of indian cricket. However a good team work is what needed for the success of the team . The ODI indian squad thrashed the ENGLAND with a 5-0 victory. The key ODI player was Yuvraj Singh who batted with power and confidence. His form kept the defeat for us at bay. In the natural form of game ie TEST cricket also , our INDIANS dominated the show except for the srilanka tour. They demolished AUSTRALIANS and ENGLISH in our own soil.Australians considered to be the masters of the game were astonished by the performance of the INDIAN team. Every department of our team performed well . Next was the test series against ENGLAND , in which the first match was a shock to england , where we chased 387 runs with one session in the evening and the final day.Such chasings rarely happen in cricket history. Sehwag needs a special mention without whom INDIA might not have won . His spectacular start with 83 runs gave a headstart. Later on sachin and Yuvraj batted with passion and brought us a grand win. The next match was a draw.However, ENGLAND's bowling outperformed INDIAN batsman in the second innings. But the game turned to our side when Yuvraj thrased the ball with quick runs.Also , GAMBIR who was steady made a usefulcontribution. Thus , this year was a spectacular moment in the INDIAN cricket history.

OLYMPICS

It is a great that Abhinav Bindra has got an individual gold medal for India . After 28 years , we are claiming the gold medal. This will definitely be an eye opener for many sportspersons . The most important thing to be noted is that China has recieved many gold medals. What could be the reason for difference? The answer lies in the lack of infrastructue , lack of sponsors and politics.

INFLATION

Our biggest problem in the recent scenario is inflation. This has lead to a huge increase

in goods. In JAPAN ....the inflation rate is 0.8% and in INDIA it is 11.05%. What a huge

difference ? So , our Govt has failed to take measures to stop inflation rising.

IPL BONANZA 2008

The summer holidays in this year saw the begining of the spectacular IPL cricket . Everymatch was a thrill and mind blowing game. Players all over the world and from the home country took
part in this domestic cricket. The most important feature of this form od cricket is that the match
had to be played for only 20 overs. This kindled the viewer's attention even more . The batting
was fierce in the begining matches , but the bowling and fielding became more crucial in the
matchesto follow. The finals CHENNAI super kings vs RAJASTHAN royals was a good final. But
it was dissappointing to the chennaites , because Rajasthan won on the last ball. I think Shane warne was the best captain in the IPL followed by Dhoni.

Director Rajasundaram is making his debut in a fiml which is to be produced
by Ayangaran international . The hero had been already decided - Ajith .
The hot news is that when the shooting of Pokkiri in hindi was going on ( Salman -lead role ), Salman accompanied his girl friend katrina with him in chennai.So, at the shooting spot Rajasundaram had narrated the story to katrina and invited her to act in the film. She gladly confirmed her takepart in the film . Official release is pending . Bubbly girl of bollywood is going to step into tamil cinema for the first time.So, it is going to be hotter than ever for kollywood.
